Controller Setup Guide

This setup is generally only required for ACR because Claudia already handles fixing the controller input for ACB. However, you can use PadForge for both ACB and ACR.

Step 1: Download PadForge

PadForge

Download the latest PadForge application .zip release from GitHub.

Step 2: Launch PadForge

  1. Extract the downloaded PadForge.zip file
  2. Run PadForge.exe

Step 3: Set up your controller in PadForge

  1. Under Settings, scroll down and make sure that the ViGEmBus Driver is installed
  2. Turn on your controller and connect it to your system
  3. On the left side, click on + Add Controller and select the Xbox icon
  4. Under Devices, locate your controller by selecting a device from the list, pressing buttons and checking for input registrations under Raw Input State (bottom right)
  5. Once you have located your controller, assign it to the Virtual Controller under
    Virtual Controller Assignment
  6. To ensure everything works, click on Dashboard and make sure that the Input Engine and Virtual Controllers are running. Additionally, you can also click on the Virtual Controller on the left which should showcase your controller's inputs in real-time.

Step 4: Select your controller in the multiplayer main menu

    Assassin's Creed Brotherhood:
    1. Navigate to Options > Controls > Customize Controls > Controller
    2. Either select Xinput Controller 1 or Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)
    Assassin's Creed Revelations:
    1. Navigate to Data Hub > Options > Controls > Controller
    2. Select Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)
Info: There may be multiple entries for Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows).
Select the one which is displaying the correct Xbox buttons: A, B, X, Y, etc.
Done! Your controller should now be fully functional.
